Refried Beans
Ingredients:
Beans:
500 g
Pinto Beans, soaked 12 hours
4 cloves
Garlic, whole
1
Onion, halved
2 g
Oregano
9 cups
Water
Note:
Simmer 60 minutes, (until beans are soft)
Note:
Keep Water from cooking Beans
Refried Beans:
100 g
Lard
1
Onions, diced
2 g
Cumin, ground
12 g
Salt
1
Red Finger Chili
4 g
Smoked Paprika
Method:
In a fry pan on medium high heat melt the Lard. Add Onions, saute until browned.
Reduce heat to medium.
Add in Cumin, Chili, and Paprika, mix well.
Add in Beans, and 125 ml of Beans cooking Water.
Using hand blender, gring Beans in fry pan until smooth.
Keep cooking and adding Water until desired texture is reached.
