Greek Salad
Ingredients:
- 1Tomatoes, cut into ½ inch cubes
- 1/2Onion, cut into thin slices, Soaked 20 minutes in Water, and 30 ml White Wine Vinegar
- 1/2Cucumber, quarter lengthwise, 0.5 cm slices
- 1Red Pepper, cut into 0.5 cm slices
- ½ headLettuce, washed, cut into 8 cm cubes
- ½Carrot, shredded
- 70 gWhite Wine Vinegar
- 16 gBrown Sugar
- 45 gOlive Oil
- 2 clovesGarlic, crushed
- 3 gOregano
- 0.25 gThyme
- 20 gBasil, finely chopped
- 3 gSalt
- 4 gPepper
- 150 gFeta Cheese
Method:
- In a large bowl add Lettuce, Cucumber, Carrot, Garlic, Feta, and Onion. Mix well, then add Tomatoes, gently mix.
- Sauce:
- In a bowl add Vinegar, Sugar, Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Salt and Pepper. Mix it all together, with a spoon. Add to salad, Mix thoroughly, or toss.
- Set Salad aside for a minimum of 1 hour
- Add, Olive Oil, mix well, or toss.
- Serve
