Greek Pork Gyro
Ingredients:
- 400gPork Tenderloin, Remove white membrane, cut into 0.5 cm strips
- 1Red Onion, thinly sliced
- Peppers:
- 1Red Pepper, strips
- 1Yellow Pepper, strips
- 1Green Pepper, strips
- 45 mlOlive Oil
- 4 gSalt
- 3 gPepper, ground
- Sauce:
- 45 mlWhite Wine Vinegar
- 60 mlOlive Oil
- 10 gGarlic Powder, mixed with 15 ml Water
- 1Lemon, juice
- 60 mlWhite Wine
- 3 gOregano, ground
- 20 gMustard
- 5 clovesGarlic, crushed
- 15Mint Leaves, finely chopped
- 7 gPaprika
- 6 gSalt
- 5 gPepper, ground
- 1 gRosemary, ground
Method:
- Sauce:
- In a food processor add Vinegar, Garlic, Olive Oil, Rosemary, Lemon Juice, and Mint. Process until finely chopped, add to bowl. Add to bowl Garlic Powder, Oregano, Mustard, Paprika, Thyme, Salt, and Pepper.
- Pork:
- Mix Pork, Onions, and Sauce in bowl. Let marinate for 24 hrs.
- In a fry pan on medium high heat add Pork, and Onions, then saute for 4 min, turn Pork slices and saute for 4 min.
- In the fry pan remove Pork, add Red, and Yellow Peppers, saute for 4 min.
- Peppers:
- Preheat oven to 230 ℃ / 450 ℉.
- Place Peppers on cookie sheet, with rack. Add Salt and Pepper to Peppers, then drizzle with Olive Oil. Put Peppers in oven for 30 min.
- Serve with pita, Tzatziki Sauce, Tomato, Pepper, Salt, and Oregano
