Greek Meatball Burgers
Ingredients:
- 500 gGround Beef
- 500 gGround Pork
- 60 mlOlive Oil
- 1Onion, finely chopped
- 60 gBread Crumbs
- 50 gParmesan Cheese, finely grated
- 50 mlMilk
- 1Lime, zest
- 1Egg
- 15 gMint, finely chopped
- 4 clovesGarlic, crushed
- 2 gSmoked Paprika
- 12 gSalt
- 3 gGarlic Powder, mixed with 1 tbsp Water
- 3 gPepper, ground
- 0.5 gThyme, ground
- 3 gOregano, ground
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180 ℃ / 350 ℉.
- Place a pan over medium high heat and add Oil.
- Add the Onions and sauté until nicely caramelized, 8 min.
- Add the Garlic, sauté for 30 seconds.
- Transfer to a large bowl.
- Add the Oregano, Thyme, Paprika, Bread Crumbs and Milk. Mix well.
- Add the Ground Beef and Ground Pork, Lime Zest, Egg, Cheese, Mint and Salt and Pepper.
- Mix by sort of mashing the mixture between your fingers, until all of the ingredients are completely combined. You will see the mixture coming together nicely.
- Pick up some of the Meatball mixture and shape it in to 6 large patties. They should be between 220 g and 250 g each.
- You can make them any size you like, but if you make them smaller, cook them less so they don’t dry out.
- Place them on a rimmed baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle them with some Greek extra virgin olive oil.
- Roast for 30-40 minutes.
- Serve with Tzatziki Sauce, sliced Tomatoes, on a Hamburger Bun
