Greek Kebab
Ingredients:
- Kebab:
- 1 KgGround Beef
- 1Onion
- 2 clovesGarlic, crushed
- 1Red Finger Chili, finely chopped
- 1Egg
- 30 gBread Crumbs
- 60 mlOlive Oil
- Spices:
- 2.5 gPaprika
- 6 gSalt
- 2 gCumin Seed, ground
- 2Dundicut Chilies, ground
- 2 gOregano
- Veggies:
- 3Tomatoes, 1 cm cubes
- 2Red Peppers, 3mm slices, lengthwise
- 1Red Onion, thinly sliced, Soaked 20 minutes in 30 ml White Wine Vinegar, and Water
- Dill Pickles sliced lengthwise.
- Tzatziki Sauce
Method:
- In a food processor, add Onion, Chili, and Garlic, pulse until finely chopped.
- In a bowl add Beef, Onion mixture, Egg, Bread Crumbs, and Spices. Knead until incorporated.
- Cover Meat, place in fridge overnight.
- Divide Meat into 12 portions. Roll each portion into 13 cm long, slightly flattened Kabob.
- In a fry pan on medium high heat, add Oil, allow to get hot. Add Kabobs, careful not to overcrowd pan. Sauté 4 minutes, turn sauté 4 minutes more.
- Serve with Veggies, and Tzatziki Sauce.
