Szechuan Orange Green Beans
Ingredients:
- Sauce:
- 4 gSzechuan Peppers, Ground
- 2 gCayenne Pepper
- 5 mgSesame Oil
- 18 mgOyster Sauce
- 1Orange Juice, Zest
- 20 gBrown Sugar
- 30 gHoney
- 4 gSalt
- 500 gGreen Beans, 6 cm pieces
- 45 mlSunflower Oil, 15 ml for boiling Beans, 30 ml for wok
- 40 gGinger, grated
- 1Onion, diced
- 250 mlChicken Stock
- 20 gCorn Starch, mixed in Water to create slurry
Method:
- Cut green beans into 8 cm pieces
- Boil Beans for 2 minutes in Water with Sunflower Oil.
- In wok on medium high heat, add Sunflower Oil, add Ginger, and Onion. Saute for 2 minutes.
- Add Green Beans to wok.
- Add Szechuan Peppers, Sesame Oil, Sugar, Water, Salt to wok.
- Fry for 2 minutes.
- Mix Corn Starch in water and add slowly to wok until sauce is desired thickness.
