Szechuan Green Beans
Ingredients:
- 500 gGreen Beans, 6 cm pieces
- 15 mlSunflower Oil
- 3 clovesGarlic, crushed
- 10 gGinger, grated
- 1Onion, quartered, layered
- 60 mlWhite Wine
- 5 gSzechuan Peppers, Ground
- 1Red Finger Chili, finely chopped
- 5 gSesame Oil
- 10 gOyster Sauce
- 1 gSplenda
- 60 mlWater
- 8 gCornstarch, mixed in Water to make a slurry
- 3 gSalt
Method:
- Cut green beans into 3” pieces
- Boil Beans for 2 min in water with 1 tbsp Corn Oil.
- In wok on medium high heat, add Oil, allow to get hot. Add Onions, and Chili, fry for 1 minute. Add Green Beans, fry for 1 minute. Make a well in centre of wok, add Ginger, and Garlic, fry for 30 seconds.
- Add White Wine, Szechuan Peppers, Sesame Oil, Splenda, Water, and Salt.
- Bring to a boil, Reduce heat to medium, boil for 2 minutes.
- Mix Cornstarch, add slowly to wok until sauce is desired thickness.
