Chinese Pepper Steak
Ingredients:
- Marinate:
- 500 gBeef, sliced into 1/8” strips
- 1Egg White
- 4 gBaking Powder
- 3 gPepper, ground
- 3 gSalt
- 5 mlSesame Oil
- 8 gCorn Starch
- 30 mlSunflower Oil
- Vegetables:
- 2Tomatoes, diced
- 2Green Peppers, diced
- 1Onion, diced
- 30 mlSunflower Oil
- 4 clovesGarlic, crushed
- 15 gGinger, finely grated
- 3 gSalt
- Sauce:
- 16 gOyster Sauce
- 5 mlSesame Oil
- 15 mlSoy Sauce
- 30 mlRed Wine
- 250 mlWater
- 1 gSplenda
- 5 gPepper, ground
Method:
- Marinate:
- In a bowl mix Marinate ingredients, except Beef. Mix well, add Beef, mix well.
- Set Beef aside for 1 hour.
- In wok on medium high heat add Oil. Add Beef, for 1 minute, turn, fry for 1 minute more. Remove Beef, leaving Oil.
- Vegetables:
- Add Oil, allow to get hot. Add Tomatoes, Green Peppers, Onion, fry for 2 minutes, stirring. Make a well in centre of Vegetables, add Ginger, and Garlic. Fry for 30 seconds.
- Sauce:
- Reduce heat to medium, add ingredients, except Cornstarch. Bring to a boil. Boil covered for 1 minute. Add Beef back into wok. Add Cornstarch, until desired thickness.
