Chinese Beef Asparagus
Ingredients:
- Marinade:
- 500 gBeef
- 15 mlSoy Sauce
- 15 mlRed Wine
- 6 gCorn Starch
- 3 gGarlic Powder
- 3 gSesame Seed Oil
- 3 gSalt
- 3 gPepper, ground
- Sauce:
- 125 mlBeef Broth
- 15 mlSoy Sauce
- 15 gOyster Sauce
- 3 gSalt
- 15 gGinger, finely grated
- 1 gSplenda
- 15 gBlack Bean Sauce
- 60 mlChicken Stock
- 400 gAsparagus, boiled 45 seconds in Salted Water
- 1Onion, small, quartered, layered
- 1Carrot, quartered lengthwise, sliced
- 45 mlSunflower Oil
- 16 gCorn Starch, mixed in Water to make slurry
Method:
- Mix Marinade and let Beef sit for 1 hour.
- Mix Sauce.
- In a wok on medium high heat, add Oil, allow to get hot. Add Onion, fry for 1 minute, while stirring. Add Carrot, fry for 1 minute. Add Beef for 1 minute, mix, fry for 1 minute more. Make a well in centre of wok, add Ginger, and Garlic, fry for 30 seconds, mix well. Add Asparagus, then add Sauce. Bring sauce to a boil, cover, simmer sauce for 1 minute.
- Then slowly add Corn Starch to stir fry, until desired thickness.
